Students and Eating Habits
Dear Editor,
I read your article about the students’ eating habits and I am writing to express my opinion. THE principal’s attitude is not correct and something needs to be done.
As I see it, the school canteen should provide healthy alternatives and reduce the unhealthy choices. That way, they can add in the canteen salads made with fresh vegetables and have washed-fruits. Also, instead of having candy bars they can replace them with fruit salads and energy bars.
Another suggestion is for the school to host lectures by nutritionists and help the students to understand which foods are healthier and their body needs them to grow properly. Also, they can advise students what to eat during the day and to be choosy about what they eat so they will not become overweight.
To sum up, it is important for the school to reduce the unhealthy foods so the student will make healthier choices. I hope you will take my ideas into consideration.
Yours truly,
