Relative Pronouns

Χρησιμοποιούμε relative pronouns (who, which, that, whose, where) για να συνδέσουμε προτάσεις ή να δώσουμε επιπλέον πληροφορίες για κάποιον ή κάτι.

 

 

Use:

 

  • Who→ refers to people.
    • Example:
      This is the man who helped me.

 

 

  • Which → refers to animals or objects.
    • Example:
      Butterflies are insects which have wings.

 

 

  • That → can refer to people, animals, or objects (informally).
    • Example:
      They live in a house that has four rooms.

 

 

  • Whose→ expresses possession. (of whom/which)
    • Example:
      That’s the girl whose mother is a vet.

 

 

  • Where→ refers to a place.
    • Example:
      London is the city where I was born.
