Life then and now
When my grandparents were my age, the world was a very different place. Many things we take for granted today had not been invented back then. I believe that life is easier for us today than it was for them.
Take entertainment, for example. Nowadays we have a really big variety of what to do on our free time, whereas our grandparents could just go to the cinema or at a café. Not only entertainment, but also communication is something that has developed over the years. 50 years ago, there were no mobile phones, and communication between people who were far from each other was difficult to achieve.
Another aspect of life which is easier and better today is finding out information. Nowadays, people usually find whatever they need on the internet. That was not possible a few years ago, so people used to search whatever they needed on books.
In conclusion, as I see it, life is much easier today, especially where communication, entertainment and finding out information are concerned. Developments in technology over the last half century have had a positive effect on these important aspects of our lives.
